We are excited to bring the Certified Pediatric Massage Therapist Course (CPMT) to the beautiful Island of Oahu (Honolulu), Hawaii.
This Accredited 2-day professional training, taught by Liddle Kidz Founder and Master Teacher Tina Allen, will be held at Remington College.
Sometimes called “The Gathering Place,” Oahu certainly lives up to its name. Swim in the warm waters of world-famous Waikiki one moment, then enjoy the dramatic mountain views of the Nuuanu Pali Lookout another. Watch the surfers on the legendary North Shore by day, then dance the night away in vibrant nightlife spots around Honolulu.
As the most visited of all Hawaiian Islands, Oahu is a special place to visit and explore. The most visited spot of the island, Pearl Harbor, is just west of Honolulu. The USS Arizona Memorial honors over 1,100 American fighting men killed on December 7, 1941 during the Japanese attack. It features a theatre presentation that shows footage of the attack and its aftermath. Next to the USS Arizona Memorial, you can see Pearl Harbor's newest arrival, the USS Missouri, affectionately known as "Mighty Mo", where the surrender was signed.
After making a historical stop at Pearl Harbor, take a dip in the waters at Waikiki Beach. Waikiki is probably the world's most famous beach, known for fun sand, gentle waves, lovely scenery and ideal year-round climate. Waikiki is the center of the island's life, with its beachside strip of accommodations, stores, restaurants, nightclubs, and activities like excellent swimming, surfing for beginners, catamaran and outrigger canoe rides, diving, sailing, picnicking, snorkeling, pole fishing, and, of course, sunbathing.
When you visit Waikiki – try authentic Waikiki cuisine at Duke’s. At Duke’s experience old Waikiki, at the world-famous restaurant named for their favorite son, Duke Kahanamoku. Right between two of our the most spectacular grand hotels on Waikiki beach, the Moana Surfrider and the Royal Hawaiian, Duke's has been a driving force in reinvigorating Waikiki with Hawaiian culture and lore. Become part of their ohana (Hawaiian for family) while dining on delicious original Hawaiian-influenced cuisine, a generous helping of Aloha spirit, and one of the most famous views found anywhere. With the sun-setting, dinner at Duke's is less like a meal and more like a dream. With the surf crashing before you, and the palms rustling together, the Lilikoi sisters stroll from table to table singing and playing the gentle rhythms of old Hawaiian songs.
In the mood for something a little bit quicker and just as fun, try a Puka Dog. What is a Puka Dog? First of all Puka means Hole in Hawaiian. With a special recipe they bake a bun-sized loaf of bread. They pierce a "puka" from one end and toast through most of the length of the bun. Then pour in any of our unique Hawaiian secret recipe relishes and sauces or standard condiments. Finally, they slide in a perfectly grilled, premium Polish type sausage made from a proprietary combination of prime meats manufactured to the highest quality standard to ensure and preserve the unique flavor that is compatible with their 4 different Garlic Lemon Secret Sauce and 7 Tropical Relishes.
And no visit to Hawaii would be complete without Shave Ice. For a cool treat try, the Hawaiian shave ice found at Waiola Bakery & Shave Ice in Honolulu, HI.
And, when the mornings appear to start too early, you must grab a cup of Hawaiian coffee.
What’s so special about Hawaiian Coffee? Hawaii is the only U.S. state where coffee is produced commercially.
One of the pricier coffees on the market, Kona coffee is one of the most prized in the entire world. Produced from a rare bean which is exclusively grown on the upland slopes of North and South Kona on the Big Island, it is rich, aromatic and mellow, and a delight to be had.
Come to Honolulu and experience the fun with us!
Finally, an accredited pediatric massage certification program for healthcare professionals who wish to expand their practice by providing massage therapy and nurturing touch for pediatric clients. The Liddle Kidz Foundation Certification course is an intense, fun and effective way to master the core skills of pediatric massage.
Founded by master teacher and philanthropist Tina Allen, the Liddle Kidz Foundation offers a new, comprehensive, research based training course and teaches students what they really need to know to provide pediatric massage.
Any experienced professional will tell you that there is a world of difference between learning how to massage a child from a book or DVD, and knowing how to provide the best care to meet a child’s needs, however, there are few opportunities to learn the skills they really need from a working healthcare professional who has provided pediatric massage education throughout the world.
As a CPMT, you have the special opportunity to provide specialized care through touch therapy to children who need it most.
